James Franco acts like Heath Ledger's Joker

I'm surprised no one else has brought this up, but has anyone noticed that Franco acts almost exactly like his main inspiration for his character was Heath Ledger's Joker? A good example is when he is on the stand in the courtroom scene. His mannerisms, his pauses and even his voice inflections scream Joker (although slightly neutered).

He phones it in so no I'm not surprised or think its crazy to compare him to joker, but of course his performance doesn't touch heaths joker. He doesn't seem to care about anything, only getting attention and notoriety and that check.

Its funny you said that, early on I had the same feeling!! Just his demeanor and eerie calmness. I really liked the movie.

Ledger acted like Tom Waits, it gets annoying how much credit that junkie

Annoying how much credit that junkie gets because too many people think he was an original character.
