I think all that's behind the Nun 2 is greed.
Watched both, wouldnt recommend any. But the Nun 2 is a TOTAL disaster, this one is a OK movie, with too many bad decisions (camera angles from hell!)

Sad to hear. The first was such a letdown (especially with the potential for such a creepy character). I was hoping this second one would iron out those mistakes.
No. In 1 it "makes sense" she was haunting the monastery, but the explanation why she is no on the loose makes no sense at all, especially from the timing (why she stayed so long at the school) and what her powers are (e.g. being on several places at same time). It could have been much better, if they had fully bet on the unknown possessed trope and had explained other things with minor demons supporting the Nuns cause because of reasons.
Annabelle e.g. is at least consequent with who and where she haunts.
That's a shame.
