Lame scripts on two recent episodes (SPOILERS)

One had a big successful furniture maker break down at the end and make an oath to make all his furniture with flame resistant material, while posing with his kids, iirc. Extremely cheesy.
And last night the fire house find a small kid has been pulling fire alarms at school because he was being bullied, so they happily have him make a Get Well Soon card and take him to the hospital where the guy who got delayed treatment supposedly was recuperating well. (Not to mention an extremely lame subplot.) Happy ending, how sweet.
Both really lacked any tension and believability. Very disappointing. I want to like the show, but if this is the best they can do, it's not very good.

It's all become very simple and convenient.

Not to mention this seasons eps - The ambulance that was run off the bridge after being shot at, the crew, one of which was a rookie, say they don't need a hospital or counselling and that is it? The Boss just accepts that, in the most litigious country in the world?!

that furniture episode was terribly written.

Nothing has really changed. All the eps for the past 2 years have been junk. It's like they really don't know what to do with firefighters so they keep giving them stupid money making schemes.
