Could jimmy injury opened up new storylines

I think had the writers had taken more of a chance, i think it would have been interesting to see how a firefighter would deal with a disability instead of taking a cop out.

I don't think the writers would change the cast ATM. If they wanted to, they certainly had the opportunity. Otis getting sick and Hermann getting stabbed - or was that just a dream?

Chris hermmann injury wasnt as severe that could end his career. Brain otis health scare wasnt really explored. Like. I said jimmy suffered from the newbie casualty.

There was Jose Vargas from season 1. The bald firefighter from Truck 81 that transferred to Squad 3... He ended up getting his lungs trashed by getting a face full of smoke containing nasty stuff that reacted in his lungs.

I remember jose vargas was placed on disability but i dont think.his career ended becsuse of it

Umm, his firefighting career did. Even if he managed to get a lung transplant he wouldn't be able to be a firefighter again. He would be wasting away from emphysema.

I could have sworn jose vargas is still in the firehouse but doesnt get involved in the fires. Unless a similar character took his place.

Mo capp is the one that i was thinking off. The characters are so expendable.
