So ep.09 ends on a big cliffhanger, where the department is about to be shut down. And the next episode, they find the miracle solution to prevent it. So sick of shows like these, where bad sht never really happen, because the writers always find cop outs to not go there...

I know that. But what's the point in twists, when you know everything will turn out fine, in the end? There's no sense of danger, no suspense. You already know that, no matter how bad things go, for these characters. They will always win the battle.
shareThat is just how it is. Procedural shows are for easy digestion, quick entertainment and for networks to make money off of syndication. Once this show is cancelled another network will be rerunning the hell out of it.
