shareYes there was a Chicago Fire Promo and a Chicago PD promo. Next's weeks CF looks to be a very Dawson Casey Louie centered episode. Here's to hoping Louies real daddy steps up and takes him away so we can stop having story lines about him.

Sneak peak spoiler: The sneak peak was set at Chicago Med. Kelly was in a hospital bed talking to Jeff Clarke. Clarke asked him how he was feeling and Kelly responded that he was feeling like he had just jumped out a window. Why can't they take marrow from someplace else instead?
shareFrom the way I understand it the only way to do this type of bone marrow donation is to take it from that location. It's the only bone big enough to harvest the needed amount.

Could take some from a bunch of locations though... if the girl will die without it I think Kelly would do it.

They can't. The only locations that contain the correct type of marrow (contains stem cells) are the hips/pelvis, skull, ribs, spine and breast bone. They never take it from the other locations because there isn't enough or it could cause serious damage to the donor. It would be unrealistic for them to just take it from another location because its never done in the real world.
