maybe Louie would be better off with his real dad

Gabbuy's job keeps her very busy. Matt is a fire fighter; he has his city council job and he also has his side construction business, The two of them don't really have the time to give all the attention a child with Louie's problems would need. Louie's father said that his whole family would be on board to taking care of Louie. This would be very good for the little guy.

But I don't have this view for Louie's sake so much as I do for the viewer's sake. The Gabby-Louie story line has gotten to be very boring.

Of course he would be better off with his bio father's family. We need more firefighting on this show, and less Gabby trying to cry.

reply

Exactly!!! That's why this show has lost it's authentic feel. Less emphasis on the CFD and more emphasis on the Gabby drama crap.

Memphis Raines: I'm a little tired, a little wired, and I think I deserve a little appreciation!

i sorta got pissed at Matt and whiny Gabby's crap. That man is Louis father. It was not h is fault he served in Military and the mother did not tell before he.. Gabb and Matt were like "no he is our taking our baby' I am so tired of her NEVER being wrong and 'unpunished at work for her attitude.

Make yourself happy before you’re going to make anyone else happy!

I wish Louie's real dad will take him away too...only because I am sick and tired of the whole crappy Gabby Dawson & the Dawsey family drama...

reply

I would imagine most of us agree with you on this one. I actually thought it would happen eventually.

reply

glad it happened, now hopefully this means we'd get less Dawsey family drama crap...

reply

....you have any idea how much DRAMA we'll all go through if Gabby loses that child?? LOL

I do think the child would be better off with his bio-father and family.

Except the show long ago stopped being about firefighting, and turned into a soap opera. So maybe it's best if...

Gabby has to give up the Louie, but then finds out she's pregnant...then we find out it may be someone else's kid, but no it's not, whew, she's faithful to Matt. Then a twist, it's a special needs child, and her parents can help because they are starting a joint wedding service/day care center, so everyone can always be in love, or loved, and Gabby asks Matt to use his job as an Alderman to get them a special permit so they can build this new business. Then Louie's dad doesn't want him after all, and wants them to adopt him, but Gabby needs help from the police, because it turns out the kid was living in a bad area, so they get Erin from PD to come over and cry about that alongside Gabby, only it turns out, Erin's mom is mean, because they got into a fight because Erin wants a baby too but her mom won't help which is why she is crying! Gosh, life is so hard for these people, their struggles with life.

I see a new spinoff series coming: Chicago Day Care.

How am I doing? :-)

As of this ep, the father is going to fight for custody and he's going to Afghan. That should have a strong storyline. But what happened to Casey's political job as alderman? Did he give it up?

reply

Yes, I believe the child belongs with his bio-family. His dad seems like a good guy and he didn't abandon his child. He would have the support and love of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. I know that Gabby loves him but this is what's best for Louie.

In the real world look how much it takes for authorities to remove a child from their druggy, neglectful & abusive parents. Judges give them chance after chance. I hope the dad wins custody and there doesn't seem to be any reason why he wouldn't.

reply

Yeah, TBH in real life all too often fathers don't stick around to help raise the kids. Good to see a change in this case.
