Louie

Yes it was a little sad that Gabby & Matt didn't get to keep Louie but he is with his family (who seem like good people)now. Hopefully they put this storyline to rest but occasionally have an update on how Louie is doing or maybe even have him stay the night & their place or visit the fire house once or twice. From now on really tone down on the soap storylines & focus on the fire & rescue stuff !!

I love Louie and will miss him but yeah he's with his family who seem like good people. I hope we do get to see him again.

Did anyone find it funny that their apartment number was 911? LOL

reply

Yeah. I'm guessing that's an inside subtle joke they put in to see if people noticed.

someone on this board mentioned that Derek Haas tweeted that we'll see Louie again...I hope this doesn't mean he'd be returned to Dawsey's custody...

reply

While I'm glad the storyline is over with, I could t help but cry at the end especially when he looked back at gabby. I can't get that look out of my head

reply

It's the exact same look he's had the whole time. It never changed....not once.

reply

Exactly! Horrible child actor...cute but NO PERSONALITY. I couldn't "bond" with his character and didn't see how Gabby and Matt could either. He never gave them any emotional connectedness...always the same expression. I thought maybe he was a bit challenged...slow...never spoke more than a couple of words. Would look wordlessly if spoken to. Weird. Cute but weird.

reply

Yup. The times he did speak a few words I never even understood it. It was just mumbling to me.

He very seldom even looked at Gabby or Casey. They'd be having these serious/emotional moments with him and when he did speak he never looked at them. There were even a few times when they would be holding him or really talking to him down at his eye level and he'd be look off screen. It was like he was looking at all the production people or for his parents or something and looking for a way out....he seems scared.

He is a cute kid though, just horribly miscast.

What I loved was Gabby's response after she met Louie's family and realized that it could take up to a year to fight for custody. "I can't go through that..."

Until the end, all about her.

reply

You're right. A person thinking about the best interest of the child would have said "we can't put him through that...."
