Was that Gabby's engagement/wedding ring that Matt found in Louie's drawer? Or was it not what I thought it was?
I was waiting the rest of the episode for him to confront her about that. Why was it just stuffed in their foster son's drawer?
Yeah, I had the same questions. Maybe we'll find out next week, or maybe it'll be yet just one more dropped storyline.

I missed the first few minutes but do you think maybe that could have been part of Casey's anger as well, if that is in fact what it was?
Maybe he feels like Gabby only married because of Louie. Louie's gone, she's not wearing her ring and put in the oddest spot of the house. Why would you keep a wedding ring in a toddlers room that is no longer occupied? It's not like he found it on the bathroom vanity.
The kid is gone and now so is the marriage.
I know Gabby loves Casey but him finding the ring in the drawer that once was Louie's - I think it kind of made Casey start having these doubts on their marriage. I also think that is why he was acting out of character, and I say rightly so although he shouldn't have taken it out the firehouse who is like "family" to him. This is something he needs to confront Gabby about and see what she has to say.

I think it's probably a mix of it all, they are both grieving - and Gabby might think that Matt only married her then because of Louie. I think it was leading up to it until that party where her parents split up, then he figured she didn't want to get married, and I think she didn't realize that he was holding back for her, and she was disappointed that he wasn't talking about marriage anymore. Mixed signals maybe?

I'm confused too. I think that was the same ring that Matt had given her when he proposed the second time (on the roof of CFD academy). She must have left it in the house when she walked out on him...
