Severide Leaving?

Did I understand correctly the guy friend of Severide's dad being in charge of firehouses in Springfield. Anna lives there. This guy mentions that there will be openings in Springfield. Anyone think Kelly will leave Chicago?

Has the show been cancelled for next season? I'm pretty sure it's a safe bet to be renewed, so no, I don't think Severide will leave. He is at least half of the show, if not more. If he leaves, so will most of the viewers.

Think they are hinting at another spinoff? Springfield Fire. Springfield Med. (since Anna works there)

Well today I saw a promo pic of the crossover event and Severide was there wearing his squad gear. Since that episode is a few weeks away I think its safe to say that he's not going anywhere.

If this was real life he would take that job offer in a heartbeat. He's basically being gifted Chief of Springfield with an internship as Battalion Chief before he takes the top spot. If he stays in Chicago he'll be probably top out as a Battalion Chief and would have to wait a few years before he even got that.
