Question: Would the sub......SPOILERS

Would the submarine have made it to Turkey if Fraser hadn't listened to Daniels and not killed the engineer? I know it was an old boat but it was working up to the point he was murdered.

All the men were going to be arrested except for Daniels. I can understand Fraser being scared of the Russians trying to get revenge but without the boat's engineer what chance did any of them have of escaping?

I still don't get why he killed the nicest of the Russians...yes they were picking on the boy but threatening them was enough.

The Russians were horrible to that kid...if someone threw me out of my bed they would be very sorry indeed!

Daniels reminded me of Carter Burke from Aliens...the company just sacrifices the crew.

I think Daniels was afraid of his employers, even though it was a legit company I'm guessing the whole shady nature of the mission meant the company had a dark side and had likely made a deal with the Georgians.

Daniels wanted the sub on the surface so the crew would be arrested and he would be awarded by both Angora Ltd and the Georgians. I think the sub could have easily have made it to Turkish waters and he was afraid of what the men might do to him when they got their.

I was glad that he was finally about to get his comeuppance before that scouse kid chimed in. You could see in the skipper's eyes that they were so close to getting in to free Turkish waters but the company-man had screwed them over yet again. Why that kid defended him is beyond me, I would have put one bullet in Daniels' head and another in to Fraser's abdomen to incapacitate him then tried to limp to Turkey.
