Just a did of a movie. Bad acting. Bad storyline. Half the time it made no sense the other half was so predictable. Seems like it was written by a highschooler. Take my advice and do not waste your time with "Black Sea"
Well dalesmith, it is clear that you either didn't see this movie or you have no taste. This is in fact a very worthwhile movie, entertaining and dangerous at the same time. It is better than most of the mediocre movies made these days.

I just watched The Duff and 50 Shades before watching Black Sea. I can't see how in the hell anyone can say that the acting in this film is bad. Jude Law was great.
And you've got some comprehension problems if this movie made no sense to you.
Dalesmith obviously has his taste buds high up his ar$ehole, pay no attention to the rant of an imbecile high school mouth breather, Black Sea is a surprisingly excellent film, great script, firm direction, all around top notch acting and during the entire running time of this movie you can squeeze the tension with your fist and it will drip. Fantastic entry in the submarine sub genre.

Hello Kevin Macdonald, not surprised to see you post the above comment, but I agree with the original poster, your movie was a turd. It played like a cheap B movie. 😀 😀
As for the Jude Law character, everytime he opened his mouth and spoke it reminded me of the 'Scotty' character in the original Star Trek TV series and it made me cringe. Yes I get that as a Scot you are pushing Scotland but you would have been better to either cast a Scot in the lead role or cast Jude Law as an English character.
I'm not usually with the consensus, but I am this time, while the consensus disagrees with the OP.
Amazed about the negative comments that simply are the antithesis of fact. I've cringed at most modern movies, because they are horribly written with ridiculous characters.
This film was a breath of fresh air. Okay, one character was over the top evil, and did seem a rip off of the Aliens company villain, but one over the top character is fair when we see many other credible ones react to him. That's the basis for many stories.
