The Russian Mafia Plot Line has Destroyed this Season
...yet they kept going back to it, and back to it, and back to it.
Remember the show "Dallas" from the 80's, and why that got better ratings than "Dynasty'? Because the core of "Dallas" was family issues, while "Dynasty" was about international intrigue.
When Ray Donovan stuck to primarily family story arcs, it was much better. For the sake of this show's future, I hope they finally put this Russian Mafia story line behind them after we're done with the finale.
The show improved each year until this year, which has been the worst. Go back to the basics. Make Ray a "fixer" again, not Fonzie, who has magical powers.
