Ignore "boring" claims - Good movie, a police procedural....

Ignore people calling this movie "boring"...it is anything but not that unless the viewer is wanting some sort of vapid car chase, shoot 'em up, non-stop junk.

This is what is called a "police procedural" movie - in other words, it is a slow burn police investigative movie - something like reading a novel.

My only complaint is some of the gun handling - where movie makers get this idea that cops don't carry "hot" guns on their hips and need to jack a round in the chamber is idiotic and I guess done for drama. Then, in the big shoot out the main character checks his magazine for ammo and then jacks one in the chamber to his handgun and then a few minutes later works the slide to the handgun AGAIN.

Still, a good flick...
