I thought that this movie was awesome, especially the shootout at the end.
One question though. How far do you think Jay was from the two other guys with rifles? If I had to hazard a guess, I would say 300 yards. What do you all think???
It was nice to see some effort being put into a gun fight for a change, not just the miraculous accuracy that's standard in most movies (well, the shooting of the moving 4wd's tires was too conveniently easy).....except for one major flaw:
The sound. why go to all that effort to make things more realistic, and then have the sound travel at the speed of light? It would have really polished the long range battle off nicely if they'd had realistic sound delays.
As for the range, maybe around 500m to the first position of the young guy in the 4wd, and quite a bit less to Hugo? I'm no great estimator of distance, but I had that figure in my head when watching.
...then whoa, differences...
