To be honest I was a fairlm big fan of the first game. And I certainly don't think this one is bad, the combat and puzzles are much improved as is the length and replay value. However, I just can.k get past how weak the story was. Aside from a brief explanation as to the history of the horsemen, there is little to no story to this and even less to connect it to and expand on the first game. I found this a huge flaw given the potential of the characters and mythology.
The additional characters introduced add nothing to the overall plot and are reduced to simple key holders with a go there get this quest that is so blatantly lazy in its design it sticks out like a sore thumb. And don't get me started on the terrible ending. Its a good game and fun to play but if anyone is interested in seeing the story and characters of the first game expanded on in even the smallest of meaningful ways then I think they'll be disappointed.
