Due to be shown Wednesday 18th February 2015, replaced by episode 10. No explanation - BBC afraid of upsetting treasure hunt organisers?

Possibly but whatever the reason, don't loyal viewers deserve an explanation rather than the bland and faintly contemptuous "And now, in a change from our advertised programme......."?

Well, my "explanation" about upsetting treasure hunt organisers was ironic, but I so agree that ALL channels should explain their reasons for pulling programmes.
