I think you miss the point. I'm curious what shows DO you like? I guess all horror, sci-fi, crime and "reality" shows would be excluded from your list. This is ment to be "simplistic" and unrealistic. I'd like to check out a few things you DO think are worthy and that you enjoy...

It's not supposed to be dark, realistic nor profound. It's a light-hearted series, more meddling sleuth than real detective.

It is pretty dire. A shame, as they could have made a good series out of the Father Brown books.
