Where is Chris Messina?
Is there a reason Chris Messina isn't present in Season 4?
shareHe is present in season four. He missed four episodes because he was filming a movie, but even then, he pre-taped phone call segments. He has a big role in Ben Affleck's upcoming movie, Live by Night.

If he's not going to be back for an episode, I wish they'd just make an episode that is about Mindy doing something else instead of manufacturing some artificial reason why Danny isn't there. The movie has to be pretty close to wrapping. It's not Titanic, and it's been filming for months.
