I feel that hopefully at the end of the season or next season that Danny and mindy will end up together. They have from the first season had a thing that they will be together and I feel it's not the end for them
shareI feel like they will. It's typical on TV shows, Ross and Rachel, Luke and Lorelai, Ted and Robin (though that was a huge mistake). They just got them together too early.

Honestly, Danny has always been a douche to Mindy. Go back and re-watch some of the first episodes. He constantly bashed her for eating and her weight. I found him to be borderline abusive. I hope he's gone for good.
shareBorderline? Ha, I was watching, I think, Season 3's Crimes and Misdemeanors, and he says about the blue stadium chair, "Next to you, it's the most important thing I own." By Season 3, a lot of the humor was getting unfunny, and that episode, about her not keeping things at his apartment, was definitely one of them. You have to cheer for Cliff's closing speech in that episode.
shareExactly. I was talking to one of my friends about that the other day. He has always acted like a huge misogynist toward Mindy and been really disrespectful of her. I guess it was nice when they eventually got together, but it felt contrived in season 2 and I honestly don't think that they are right for each other.
I think another example in addition to the first few episodes of season 1 and the "Crimes and Misdemeanors" episode in Season 3, is the season 2 episode when he was trying to hide the fact that they were a couple at Mindy's party while his ex-girlfriend was there. And then he of course broke it off only to decide when HE wanted to be with her at the end of the season and wrecked her first date with Charlie, aka "Officer Handsome", who I loved, haha. I know that he was just a filler for Danny before he and Mindy ended up together, but I thought the back and forth between Mindy and Tim Daly was great!
There is only one woman that is right for Danny: his ma!
Mindy and the cop were great, and Mindy and his daughter could have gotten into so many messes together, all of which would have been way more hilarious than any of Danny's tedious hang-ups.
Danny is well on his way to being written out, at least that is how it appears at the moment. I don't see how a reunion would be at all plausible. Him letting Mindy sit in couples' councelling alone was the last straw for me. If Mindy has to end up with this scumbag, it should happen offscreen where I don't have to see it.
Sadly, I don't think Tim Daly, aka Charlie the Cop, is coming back to TMP. He is a regular (and a main character) on Madam Secretary, which is renewed. Otoh, Steven Weber, Daly's Wings costar, just got killed off on the iZombie finale (He was the big bad, and he was wonderful). So maybe he could be cast as Charlie the Cop's brother.
I don't think we've seen the last of Danny. In fact, there are pictures of Chris Messina on set, where they just wrapped filming last week.

Danny should be reduced as a guest, since Chris Messina, who played Danny, had a strong brought-up conflict on filming his own movie. Jeremy, who has limited lines, should also be reduced as a guest.
I think on the series finale of this show, which should be sometime on the upcoming 2016-2017 season or beyond, should have everybody since this show's first episode returning, without a doubt, and it will do better than the Glee's series finale, IMO.
I think i read an interview with Mindy or someone else affiliated with that show, that it will always be about Danny & Mindy. So for now maybe whilst he was filming another movie, they may have other love interests etc. however it appears that they may get back together.
If you look at how many episodes Chris Messina is listed as being in, he's only 2 less than Mindy. So I would say last week and this week were those episodes.
I have gone back to watching Season 1 and 2 again for like the 10th time and I agree he was a douche from day one. So unless he makes major changes then I won't be as happy if they do get back together.

I think they probably will reunite, but my hope is that they don't get back together. Their chemistry was great in season 2, but they don't work as a long-term couple. Danny doesn't work with anyone as a couple, which was why he couldn't work things out with Christina and why he shouldn't work things out with Mindy. He won't change. And also, it's about time someone says this - some people aren't meant to be together. It's okay to say this, writers and producers of TV.
