Boredom is bullsh#t.

I really disliked Tamra when she first appeared on the show. I like her now, but she--and none of the cast--are funny lately. I loved 2 Fast 2 Serious, but it was not funny. There were two fall-over-laughing lines of the episode, and one I already forget "This place has wall-to-wall floors!" is the line of the night.

What bothers me is that the jokes are becoming downright mean, toward Mindy. The self-ridicule and jokes about her being 1) old; 2) a single mother; and 3) a foodie were just plain mean. (If it counts, I'm 59, never-married, no children, and a vegetarian for thirty years.)

Not even. That old chick is way more annoying and unnecessary. In the real world she would ever be able to work in a doctor's office because she acts like she's on something most of the time.

I hate that the writers make her character so annoying. Tired trope. I wouldn't get any work in comedy ever. Black women are either sassy/angry or the unamused "straight woman" that doesn't get the joke. Can someone point me to the smart, quirky, funny, etc. black chicks on scripted t.v.? "Girlfriends" is all I can think of.
