I was just about to ask how syndication works with a show that is exclusively on a streaming service, but then I literally just saw on my tv's guide that The Mindy Project shows late night during the week on Freeform (the first time I've ever noticed it). So I guess that means it's already in syndication. share
Yeah. I think it used to be 100 episodes, but I heard in recent years that it was lowered to 75 episodes or less. I think it pretty much depends on the contract. I've seen shows that only had one season or two seasons and the episodes are played on other channels after it was cancelled or ended. I'm not sure about the rules on shows that are on a streaming service. It's possible that they can only show Seasons 1-3 on TV because they aired on FOX, but the seasons following it may not air on TV. The Mindy Project isn't on Freeform for me. That's really odd. Luckily we can just watch them over on Hulu, if we want to.
