Reminds me of Becker

I just started watching this show a few weeks ago on Netflix (Canada). So far I'm really enjoying it.

The show kind of reminds me of Becker (I've only seen a few episodes). The first thing that made me think of it, was the fact that obviously they both mainly take place in doctor's offices. Then I noticed Becker = Danny, also the female nurses have similarities.

I haven't seen Becker in a long time, and when I did watch it I only watched a few episodes, but did anyone else feel like this was almost a more modern version of Becker?

It's funny because I do see that and have thought about Becker in recent years. I think Mindy's character is a lot like the character played by Shawnee Smith. Of course, she and Becker didn't have the will they/won't they thing going the way Mindy and Danny did, but she was a more optimistic, happy person to contract with his misanthropy, which was like Mindy and Danny.

I liked that show and like Danson's new show, The Good Place, which I hope will survive this season.
