If you had to go solely on looks, which one would you choose (for yourself or for Mindy?)
I would definitely choose Messina.

If we're talking about personality (the characters'), I think she should look for a new option. They're both awful. How often this happens on sit-coms. I've been watching Crazy Ex-Girlfriend which is so similar to Mindy, a show about a girl who is knocking herself out for a guy who is nothing special (though there, at least, he is a nice person). Then, another option shows up and he is also pretty bad. What's up with that? Need more male characters like Ben on Parks and Rec (God I miss that show).

I liked that Jody was (at least so far as we could see) trying to be a better person, outside of the whole STD thing, which felt like a throw back to how he acted months before. Danny seemed to get worse with time, but I think that was mostly masked when the show was on the networks. I was always a fan of Mindy and Danny, but I binged through the seasons back during the mid season break last year, before the Jody thing even started developing, and suddenly I just saw how much of an ass Danny has always been.

I want Mindy to end up with Danny so, so, so bad because you can tell that they deeply love each other BUT Danny needs to change his attitude. Trying to knock up Mindy without her consent! No, no, no. As attractive as he is, if he never changes then I would prefer Mindy end up with someone else. NOT JODY!

shareChris Messina. Looks wise I wouldn't say he's my type, but he is VERY sexy and I've made a 100% exception for him. His body movements seem very naturally sensual for him. For example, the scene with them in the elevator, he sort of "curls" his body up to kiss her, but it had a low key grinding motion to it. Totally unnecessary for him to just be kissing her. But, it was verrrry sexy. We won't even get into how he seems to be naturally enthralled with grabbing her butt in make out scenes. I have NEVER seen that before on TV. She said that he just improvised that.
I am heartbroken by the direction they took the character. I feel like I'm breaking up with that sexy boyfriend that you know is no good for you.
I think that's a good description. But it's good that it got such a reaction from you, no? I mean, you're invested in the characters.

shareEven though I find Messina so, soooo sexy, I'd totally have to vote Dillahunt. However, I will say that probably has to do with me being a huge fan of Raising Hope. Dillahunt was just absolutely adorable yet still ruggedly handsome in his role as Burt Chance on RH. Although Jody is a COMPLETELY different character than Bert, I think I'll forever see flashes of cute & sexy Bert shine through swarmy Jody.
