Danny's girlfriend
Was this the same girl that was at Danny's house when Mindy dropped Leo off at Danny's a few episodes ago? If so, do they not remember meeting each other before? If not, that was quick of Danny to be engaged already.

I was thinking the same thing! I was like that was quick...and if I were his fiance, I would definitely not rush into an engagement that soon after he had been with someone else or they had not been been monogamous. But that probably means she has low self esteem, which makes sense because Danny just wants someone who will be believe and do everything he says.

shareLOL, lamont! His ego really is so inflated after all of the relationships that he has screwed up. His fiancé thinks that just because he is an attractive and financially well off doctor that he is the perfect man. Of course she knows about Mindy because of Leo, but he may not have even told her about Christina...or if he has, his fiancé must just be really desperate.
And notice that Sarah closely resembles Christina? In fact, both Chloe Sevigny and Greta Gerwig are former NYC Indie Film It Girls. And, Whit Stillman once cast Greta in a role he had originally envisioned Chloe to play in Damsels in Distress.
shareYeah, when they released stills from the episode she was on, they showed Greta Gerwig in profile, and I was sure it was Christina. That is despite just recently having seen a full-length theatrical movie featuring Chloe Sevigny (Love and Friendship -- recommend it!), so I feel pretty familiar with her face. Also, Sevigny is older and looks far older. But they are definitely the same type.

shareSo he can be engaged after like a week of knowing someone, but he threatens Jody and basically tries to dictate Mindy's life... If she ever gets back with Danny, I will lose so much respect for her and the show.
shareThey have really written his character to be infuriating this season, so hopefully the writers know it would be show suicide to put him and Mindy back together. Plus, after all this build up to her and Jody, it would seem like such a waste of half of a season.
Danny has always been infuriating even in the first few seasons. It was just overlooked because Mindy and him were just friends so his actions were seen as cute.
