It was going to have 16 episodes, but it has been reduced to 14.
Anyone else feeling like they're going to ended it?
Honestly, I think it would just be better.
The first three seasons were the best, I miss Peter, and I think the show has lost its direction. I still watch it, because I still enjoy it, but I think this season should be the last.
This may be the last season because Mindy Kaling might want it to be the last season. However, it is the most popular original on Hulu, the only Hulu show that comes close to matching Netflix's viewership, and Mindy Kaling has stated that she asked them to allow her to do fewer episodes so that she could film Oceans 8. Therefore, I don't think the smaller number of episodes is a sign of anything on Hulu's part. They renewed the less-popular and likely equally expensive Difficult People, they'll renew this show if she wants to do it.
I'm fine with it either way. Being on Hulu has made continuity difficult, so I'm not as excited about it as I was when it was actually on once a week. But it's still funny.
Adam Pally's new show coming out next month looks really funny. Of course, it's on Fox, so I don't give it great odds of survival.

I have to agree with verucasalt, this time, because since this show already aired its 100 episodes, then, since this show is now popular in Hulu lately, Mindy will make her own confidential decision if she wants to continue with this show or not, it will get finalized by this May 2017.
