I really enjoyed this film, but just have one problem. When they are at the Samanthas party for her book getting published, doesn't Samantha say she is going to go get a drink with Kate? If Kate shouldn't be drinking, wouldn't rusty have heard what Samantha said and stopped Kate from going with her to get champagne?

The wine, water, and soda pop all came from the same bartender, Rusty likely assumed Kate would not be served alcohol due to being underaged.

Actually she didn't say anything about getting a drink. She just said they were going to go off together.
