The La Jetée Connection...
...Is not noticeable. This film has none of the essential emotional weight that makes the Chris Marker film memorable. It is, instead, a rant against contemporary political... deterioration and the apparent onrushing dystopia it seems to portend.
Most of the film is narrated footage of events from the last two-three decades, interspersed with the grim day-to-day life of a woman in 2073. It isn't bad as an earnest social diatribe, but it isn't anything more.
