Okay there were things I liked about this film, but how is it possible that no one is discussing how mediocre the main actress was? It seemed like she was struggling with the weight of the material. It was extremely distracting during the emotional moments and the incessant sleeve chewing was overdone. In general I thought this movie was "pretty good" but really do not understand the rave reviews...

I thought she was just fine. The movie was what it was. It was a simple tale with heavy undertones. I think that all of the actors did very well. Did it knock me off of my seat? No, but I did get lost in the story so I guess I wasn't as distracted as you were.
