If you had Tim's ability, what would you do with it?
If you had the ability to go back through time and change your past, what would be the things you would change and why? Discuss.

shareGo back and erase all the mistakes I have made in my married life, since the kids were born, naturally.
I think About Time shows how the grass isn't greener and to make the most of what you have as your fantasies will only lead you to a poorer life.
It would be nice to have my wife believe I was slightly less of a twat and have a do-over for my most reprehensible moments.

Easy. I would break up with my ex boyfriend at the point when our relationship should have ended. I would have spared the both of us several years of discomfort and apathy.
shareRelive high school all over again.
shareWhy's that?
shareReally late reply, but if you still care, High School had both the best moments and the worst moments of my life. I would like to relive it so I could enjoy the good moments again and possibly fix the bad ones.
That's one thing I would do as well.
shareAmazing that you came from imdb and responded to your own old board. lol. Thats rare these days.
shareI was devastated that IMDb message boards were taken away, and was elated that there was a suitable alternative.
shareI really miss the IMDboards. This site is good but doesn’t have enough traffic.
shareTrue, I do wish more people would respond to my replies and make good conversation even more interesting. But to me it's better than nothing, and I do get to see a lot of old discussions I missed reading back in the day. Not all of them, but a good portion of them.
shareI'd go back to college and use his abilities to enjoy myself more, I could basically study all day and then relive the day so I can go out and party and still ace my classes
shareYou wouldn't have to study too much because you would know in advance what the exam questions were.
Here's a thought, if you kept reliving the same college years would you ever grow older ?
When he went back to being a boy he was a boy. So if you go back you get younger. So jumping back after 4 years and repeating the 4 years again would keep you young pretty much forever.
shareI think you would also retain the knowledge you accumulated over the years and bring it back with you.
shareInterestingly, I had brought up this conversation with my adult kids not long ago having not seen this movie. Their mom and I regrettably had conflicts of interest about the quality of life you bring into someone else's and it made for an unhappy relationship that ended bitterly on several levels.
Ever since I was a kid, If the story dealt with time travel then I'm automatically hooked. For me, my children were the bright spot and happiness of my life. Raising them and being a father/parent with their best interest at heart.
I told them if I could go back in time and change anything it could only take place after they were born. In which case I would have been a better person to their mom instead of being stubborn, defensive and negative in my reactions towards her ways and thinking.
I think that would have been key in us being happier people and parents for it. As I was forced to make so many sacrifices anyway, that would have been the most important one.
Of course, this would have also been written by the only multiple lotto jackpot winner in the world. But then again, how much would that sacrifice have changed things?
That's why I love time travel movies.
"Only a numbskull thinks he knows things about things he knows nothing about."
Loop continuously with in one day and live forever.
shareI'd go back to just before middle school and respond better to everything that had a negative impact on my life. Don't have to worry about children or a significant other since I don't have either of those.
shareIf I know that I had this ability, I would enjoy the life in first iteration till the saturation point (ie become old) and then go back to teen age and pick all my dream careers one at a time in each iteration.
I would like to become pop star, actor, porn star, saint and cricketer.
Basically, this is being Immortality.
PS: I wont have babies.
You'll have one of those.
