So the Norio "advertisement" suggests that Paul Matthews 'accidentally' stumbled on this power to enter others dreams. This suggestion implicates Matthews, he's no longer innocent.

Is this why the Matthews-esque character in people's dreams was escalating over time? At first he was just getting used to entering dreams, then he figured he could get some action, then he got bored and started attacking people?

If I am to humor this suggestion, I'd assume that Matthews didn't actually know that he was engaging in others' dreams. But at some point he should have known. And is this why he finally ultimately just STOPPED without a trace?

This brings a whole new layer to this character for me.
