I liked it but...

i can see why so many people thought it sucked.

It wasnt that good. For some reason a lot of the jokes got to me and i kinda related to the story (but im a 90s kid not an 80s kid) but i kinda grew up the same way.

This movie is absolutely worthless if you dont relate to it a lot. You also have to be a fan of sandler. The jokes are pretty weak but theres some golden moments (like shaqs scenes) that kinda held it together for me.

I think its retarded for anyone to defend the quality of this movie. I felt like it was a fair 6/10, but see why its low 5s. I think over time it will rise to high 5s but not much more.

This is a movie for 14 year olds who have nothing to do but go see a movie. When i was 14, there was nothing to see in the theatres. Maybe like once every few months something for kids would come out. Sandler movies really were the best for us, and i can see why these still make money. No one has tried to fill the void. Especially nowadays when there is even less to do when ur 14.

i was surprised to be grossed out by some of the scenes and not in a funny way. The deer scene was a complete miss and shouldnt have even been in the movie. It made no sense and felt like it took from the quality of the movie since it was the starting scene and it made no sense.

Some scenes were initially funny but dragged on and became less funny. Like how jon lovitz got away with teaching the aerobics class for a bit. That became retardedly unfunny by the end.

All in all i felt like it was a 6/10, but i found it pretty watchable.

Dont watch this if you are looking for an intelligent comedy. Only watch it if you are in the mood for some low-grade sandler fun. I also should add that it is unlikely that i would have like this movie half as much if i were sober.
