Whereas the first season had a strong, clear main storyline, in the second season it became much muddier and lesser characters became the main drivers of the action.
It also started getting very dubious in terms of history, or even logistical possibility. An entire Crusader army in Mongolia? Someone should have examined a map.
The title is a misnomer. Really should have been called Kublai Khan if it were honest, though probably that would have been worse for the marketing.
