Season 1 Ep 6 (White moon) - MP/Ahmad question (spoliers)

MP and Byamba are tasked with finding out who hired the assassins to kill Kublai. It is established that the tax collector was sent by someone in Cambulac to the assasins; at the end of Episode 6, when Marco Polo talks to the tax collector's daughter, she effectively makes it clear that it was Ahmad that sent him to the assassins. If you watch the scene, notice that they only show her face and not Marco Polo's when she makes that reveal. He then tells her never to mention this.

I mean at this point it's very obvious that Ahmad hired the assassins and is conspiring against Kublai. Why doesn't Marco Polo ever tell this to anyone, ever, throughout the entire series and even through Season 2?!?! What am I missing???

I figured Marco was worried that he could be imprisoned or executed for accusing the Kahn's son, Ahmad.

The Kahn was beginning to trust Marco, but not enough to believe that type of accusation.

Also, I don't think Marco had enough solid evidence.
