Madeleine confronting Dylan

I get really annoyed by what she says to Dylan, about how Norman fooled her for a few weeks, but fooled Dylan is whole life.

1)Dylan wasn't around Norman most of their lives.
2) Her husband being murdered when he did kind of worked out better for her. They were about to divorce anyways, so know she doesn't have to go thru that emotionally for financially. She keeps all of their money, and the hardware store that she was already running by herself anyways. And now everyone will nice to her since she's a "grieving widow"
3) I really hate how she acts like she had figured Norman out long before he was arrested. She had no clue that anything was wrong with him, and was still willing to have an affair with him, up until she found out he killed her husband.

I agree with your third point. She didn't figure anything out, and had he not confessed/been arrested, he would have continued to fool her.

However, she did not know that Dylan wasn't around, she had no way of knowing what their home life was like, what he did or didn't know. It was all coming from grief and anger. Despite how wrong she may have been, her tirade is understandable considering her husband was just violently murdered by this guy that she thought was a friend, and whom she cared for as more or was at least attracted to. She was looking for someone to blame, and Dylan fit the bill at that moment.

I doubt his murder helped her any. She clearly loved her husband and did not want to be left alone so often and ultimately cheated on. Even if you hate your husband and look forward to the divorce, most people will be very shaken up and devastated if they are murdered.
