Season 4 Blu-ray/DVD now available for purchase

Season 4 Blu-ray/DVD has been released for purchase in stores, or online (e.g., Amazon)! There are some really good deleted scenes, which in my opinion, if left in the episodes would have answered a few questions viewers had during and towards the end of the season after Norma's death.

Some of the deleted scenes will answer the following the Qs:

1) How Norman was able to pay for the funeral services, and how he might be able to support himself (at least in the short term).
2) Dr. Edwards paying Norman a visit after Norma died, what Norman shared with him, what he told Norman, what the both of them ultimately decided, etc
3) Whether Norma ever received the voicemail Norman left her back in episode 5

Then there are some other deleted scenes including, but not limited to:

4) Dylan telling Emma that he and Norma are no longer speaking to each other
5) Romero's coworkers reaction to the news that he and Norma got married
6) Norma's recalling the night before when she and Romero had sex
7) Norman having an exchange with "Mother" including a full-on kiss between them
8) Dickie (older guy at Pineview) telling Norman that he thinks Norman's mom is "hot" and would like to go on a date with her.
9) Dylan and Emma kissing and talking plans after her surgery
10) Norman scribbling something on a notepad before seeing Dr. Edwards
11) 2-3 other random/minor scenes

The one scene I really wish they had kept in was the one with Dr. Edwards. I think it was quite interesting and informative, but long (about 4 mins), which is probably why they decided to leave it out. I think the final episode as aired, had already exceeded the usual 60-minute time frame.

Thanks for the full description, Springfest71! The Dr. Edwards scene sounds intriguing! Wish I could see that. As for the Norman-Mother kiss - now that's something I'd be happy to scrape away from my memory....

HA! That scene was very entertaining, and true to the twisted creepiness of the series. :)

Whaat? Are there more details, what did Norman share with him?

Can someone put them on youtube.

Does it include any commentaries? That's the one thing I miss from the heyday of DVDs.

Your future is all used up

No commentaries - just deleted scenes as extras.

If you're in the US, you can now purchase the DVD/blu-ray online (e.g Amazon) or in stores (Target, Best Buy, Walmart), or you can rent it out from your local library.

Interesting! Thanks for posting.

I hope they realize that issue must be addressed in S5. That's not something you can just cut out. For Dr. Edwards to let it go and not do anything about it rings false.

I'm glad they showed Dr. Edwards coming to the house to talk to Norman after Norma's death in one of the deleted scenes. They agreed on a session every day, so if Dr. Edwards appears next season and says something like, "Remember that we agreed to meet every day" or "Remember how I told you I was concerned about you living by yourself given the circumstances", remember that they had the discussion in this deleted scene.
