Jackson
I just found season one. Where did this fellow's skill come from? He's not a doctor or a CSI person..... I thought him being "Pinkerton" was a joke on Reid's part.
I love hating him.

it's all explained during season 1. Jackson is a trained doctor who worked as an army surgeon, then became a Pinkerton.

Thank you, I think I missed some things. I should go back and review. I do not know of any cut scenes for the U.S. so I must have missed something. Perhaps he was U.S. Army during the War for Southern Independence. That is all I can think of here.

Hmmm... his background might actually be explained during the second season, not the first. It's been a while.
I got the impression that Jackson was with the military during campaigns against native americans, which would just about fit the time frame.

Thank you, my friend. Starting season two, I will look out for that. There is something intriguing in the character's background, for sure.
