Give Aden Young an Emmy already

Seriously, just watching his facial expressions while silent in the season premier, breaks my heart. The fact that hes acting is so subdued and subtle just makes it more powerful.

He had the same facial expression when he was choking out Teddy. Serious. Go watch that scene again.

I don't remember Daniel crying while he was choking out Teddy.

I think that a knighthood would be more appropriate! Emmys are way too corrupt to count for much these days

His conversation with Avery was brilliant. He does deserve an Emmy for that.

Agree 100%. He is very talented in the art of acting. I tried to look into his bio, but there's not much there. Either he keeps a very low profile, which is his right, or I'm looking at the wrong places.

A low profile is putting it mildly. More like "hides under a rock". He's deliberately stayed away from Hollywood and spent most of his career on the Australian indie scene.

He has been in a few things that are available internationally: Black Robe, The Starter Wife, War Bride, most recently The Code etc.. Generally, you can't find him unless you're REALLY looking. I seriously had to dig his early stuff out of the Australian screen archive...

That's very interesting. It explains why there is not much to be found on him. There are actors (or wannabe actors) that would kill for his talent and of course I'm speaking metaphorically, but you know what I mean. This man has it, HE REALLY HAS IT! I'm sure it's his choice to live off the radar if that's what makes him happy. I did find an article that said he's married to an Australian singer and has 2 sons. I'm surprised I even found that.

Not just talent, but looks as well. He looked like an angel younger. Pity that those qualities have been practically wasted on someone with such hermit tendencies. Everyone was completely convinced that he'd be the next big Aussie thing in Hollywood back in the 90s. Until he just...turned around and left, complaining how soulless that industry is 

Apparently, he initially rejected Rectify too. We can thank his agent for relentlessly pestering him about giving it a go 
