Overall, this season hasn't thrilled me but I've been hanging in due to built-up good will. Oscar Party just may have scuttled all of that. It was just a flat-out dreadful episode. The premise for the party should have worked, but fell totally flat. The hockey sub-plot was a total loss. What kids hockey league starts up in February/March? What tryouts would be on a Sunday evening (Oscar night)? Where was the snow on the ground? I'm watching a show about aliens, implausible doesn't bother me. Stupid does.

If you thought the Oscar Party was bad, i can't wait to hear what you thought of tonight's episode. I'm a fairly new fan of the show but tonight was like really out there! I'm sticking with it because not much else on Friday night! I have really liked some of them, although it sounds like most fans think season 1 was much better.

I thought the Oscar party portion of the ep had some funny parts but the hockey sub-plot was cringe-worthy. I agree with you though that the Bollywood ep was a huge mess.

Yeah, that episode sucked.

You have the premise of the aliens throwing a red carpet Oscar party for the Weaver's (complete with has-been celebrities poking fun at themselves) and they managed to make it unfunny.

It should have been an outrageous and hysterical episode. Instead, it was just dumb and bland. The thing with Reggie and Dick doing the performance art was so unfunny it was painful.

I agree with the posters who said they continue to watch only for built up good will for how good it USED to be.
