Amber and Reggie

I see that there is not much love on this board for this couple, but I really like them together. They had a few boring moments after hooking up, but I think some of the best moments in season 2 have come from their story line. The Christmas episode was wonderful and the last episode was heartbreaking when Amber broke up with Reggie after realizing that his heart did beat at the same time as his "soul mate".
It's such a shame that the writing this season has gone down hill. Dick's character is just ridiculous this year and I have no idea why they would even start to throw in comments about how they are on a show and break the fourth wall. Bring back the talk about them being aliens!
Please tie up the loose ends before season 2 is over because it doesn't look like there will be a season 3. (even though I would watch it. Let's face it there are some terrible sitcoms out right now and this one is still fairly clever)

The alien plot has always been a metaphor for tv tropes, and was always meant to hang a lampshade on. Having the weirdos next door as actual aliens serves to show how ridiculous tv show plots are in general. That's the high concept stuff going on with this show. This is a great show, and is getting tighter and more solid. I certainly see a third season for it, as the show is steadily gaining critical praise and momentum in viewers.

What are you talking about, Parsley?

I love the show but the ratings are awful. Its the lowest-rated sitcom on television. And a lot of the critics who jumped on board towards the middle of last season have cooled off.

ABC even showed how little they care for the show by cutting Season 2's budget in HALF and then never promoting it. Ever.

Its expected to be cancelled, which sucks, but at least we got two seasons out of it.

Amber and Reggie are sweet. I agree, OP.

The two of them together didn't turn out to be as bad as I thought it would be. Credit to the overall likeability of the actors for bringing that off.

And then they have the Amber and Reggie break-up, with various missed opportunities, etc., etc. Would have been better if they just kept them apart for another season.

I know, they didn't know there was going to be a second season, so they threw them together. Better if they hadn't though.

Their coupling never was a good idea.

The quote is from a piece of classic literature, a topic with which you seem to be very unfamiliar.

What's really lame is the fact you went out of your way to log on and spout gibberish about another person's signature instead of adding something to the topic at hand.

In essence, you have all but begged me to put you on my ignore list - and how can I say no to that?

He apparently does that a lot. I can only hope mine (signature) bothers him too!

Signatures are a personal form of expression. I suspect most of us don't even remember why we chose them. Do you really think we would remove them based on the subject of the thread? You seem intelligent enough, wouldn't your comments on them fall under the category of "nit-picking"! Some might call that troll like. Ly down and start at the beginning. What's bothering you really? (By the way mine is a song lyric).

It'll be interesting to see if they have closure to this storyline or if it ends with Jane and Reggie.

If you're not taking any steps forward, you're not moving at all.
