Abby Weaver

Since many people seem to get a bit of a cathartic kick out of complaining about Amber - or is it complaining about Clara? No matter, really.

I think Abby Weaver needs a special thread for how much her character sucks. The writers WAY overdo the "have young kids say age-inappropriate things" gimmick, and Abby's personality is ridiculously grating. Amber may be sullen, blah, and not as attractive as, say, the eldest daughter on "The Goldbergs," the oldest daughter on "Modern Family," or even the oldest 2 daughters on "Last Man Standing"(past & present), but I generally don't begin to feel my urge to kill rising when I'm just watching Amber be sullen. When Amber speaks or enters a scene I merely count the time or fast forward till it's over, but Abby Weaver makes me want to be violent.

If I knew there would never be repercussions for my actions, and it wouldn't cause any lasting harm, I would LOVE to punch Abby Weaver in that stupid face and scream, "GET OFF MY TV!" Next on the list I would go after the writer who write such stupid scenes like when Abby wistfully daydreams over "dreamy" celebrities.

Take 45 minutes for lunch....

Then I would make my way to where ever "Homeland" is filmed and punch THAT daughter, Dana Brody, for simply being one of the worst television characters of all time.

For the record I have no problem with the little girl who plays Abby and hope nothing bad happens to her - outside of being removed from this TV show - but the friggin Abby character gets on my nerves more and more each episode. I am truly amazed there aren't people making Abby voodoo dolls or wishing she would just disappear up the proverbial house stairs like other ill-begotten child characters that nobody liked (Judy from Family Matters, anyone?).

Its obviously a matter of the writing than the acting of the little girl. Some of the dialogue shes expected to say is WAY too precocious and long-winded for someone her age. The little boy is also given dialogue like this.

Its an old time and notorious trope in Hollywood. Writers don't know how to pen realistic dialogue for child characters. This is because most of the writers are in the 40s and either write the dialogue too cutesy, baby-talk or go the opposite route and make them talk like they're 50.

The child actress playing Abby is actually pretty good with good timing. If you want to see terrible child acting, no offense, check out Lilly from Modern Family. Its actually painful sometimes.

You seriously have a problem. Seriously. Like go to a doctor. Who rants like this about a character, a child no less, on TV? I sorry, you must have other, more serious, problems and you need to have them addressed.

"I would LOVE to punch Abby Weaver in that stupid face and scream, "GET OFF MY TV!" but then you say "For the record I have no problem with the little girl who plays Abby and hope nothing bad happens to her"................ contradict yourself much?

It's a little girl ffs. Do you kick newborn puppies because they aren't learning to walk fast enough too?

Just hate on Amber like everyone else does and then picture her naked like I do. And no I'm not joking. Amber looks like she's a biter, can't beat that.

MAVERICK IS SUPERSONIC....I'LL BE THERE IN 30 SECONDS!!!
