Wow! Awesome Season/Series Finale

Sure, not the most laugh riot episode of the series, but it wasn't meant to be. They were clearly aiming to tie up the plot threads of the show and give us a (possible) final episode with the Weavers/Bird's.

Larry chooses the love/respect of his family and the Weaver's over his colony. Probably the biggest moment of character development of the whole show.

Reggie, after struggling the whole series to choose between his Alien side and love for Amber, finally decides to choose both.

Dick chooses his family over his usual selfishness.

But they also leave the door open for a Season 3 but with the twist of "The Neighbors" being humans, and the Bird's possibly having to "blend in" which might be funny.

I thought it was hilarious how DJ Tanner and Steve (Full House) move next door. For those who don't get the joke, back in the 90s, Full House was a part of ABC's popular Friday night sitcom block called TGIF ("Thank God Its Friday"). It might have even been in The Neighbors 8:30pm timeslot, I forget. Cute joke nevertheless.

If that does end up being the final episode, I'm satisfied. It tied things up as well as possible.

I'm so glad you posted that because it went right over my head. I thought they looked familiar.

I thought that was DJ! Thanks for confirming I wasn't seeing things.

Just a great season finale, all around, well done everyone. I have loved this show from day one. I would love it if it came back, ABC Family? Here's hoping.

Ha. That's pretty funny. I didn't catch it was them.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

It helps hat one of the producers of the show is Scott Weinger, Steve from Full House. He called Candace Cameron (DJ) if she wanted to do a cameo. And since no names were used, theoretically, they could be Steve and DJ tanner. Meaning the neighbors could theoretically be tied to TGIF.

"...theoretically, they could be Steve and DJ tanner..."

Say - could that be why the Bird-Kersee-Weavers grimaced and groaned at the sight of them?

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.

I would be bummed if the show went to ABC Family. I cut the cable cord in June 2011.

Same here, we dropped cable a few years ago and haven't missed it. Bought a Tivo and pay a monthly fee for service and we're quite happy without 100+ channels. Our budget is too. Cable is just outrageously priced and what irks me is you can't pick and choose your channels, you have to pay for channels you don't even watch. For example, the Golf Channel (no offense to golfers) but we would delete that channel from our remote but of course pay for it. And I'm sure a lot of guys delete all the home improvement channels. Well I could go on and on.

If it moves to ABC Family I'll be happy (for the cast and fans) and hope somehow to watch it, on the network 24 hours later? Via Hulu Plus?

ABC family is not on Hulu Plus anymore. I can understand a week or even a month (like USA channel) delay before a show is on Hulu, but I hate that ABC family is just not available at all.
It's annoying for those of us who cannot have cable even if we were willing to shell out the big bucks it takes.

Same here: TiVo / Netflix combo w/ the occasional $5 movie via Amazon.

Or just the ESPN main channel. They don't break down the cost per channel, but it has been estimated that everyone pays ~$5/mo for that one. And I never use any of their channels.
We're tying to figure out how to cut the cable. WAY too expensive! We watch a lot of TV, but mostly on ~12 channels. If that. And they don't seem to make it easy to see what is on Hulu. (I do watch F1 racing. Not sure if it's available on a pay-Net site. There are sports bars in town that show it. NOT my scene!)

That really was well done. Some clever references, some biting comments. Hoping for another year!
