I totally get that same type of humor in Galavant then in the neighbors. I wonder if it's the musical episodes of the neighbors that gave Fogelman the idea to make galavant!

That's weird, since I've recorded every episode so far & have been finding it very amusing. It's got the flavor of a Mel Brooks parody, and some great songs.
I knew it was to be a miniseries (didn't seem like the sort of idea that could continue indefinitely, anyway), but early cancellation? That's surprising...but I'm not devastated. It's not the most exciting program ever, and apparently all the episodes made are going to be available. Just seems a shame that they obviously put much greater than average work into this, and they're ending it early practically right after it started.
