I don't want to get into this into great depth. But this movie is utterly fallacious and is very misleading. This is pro-war, republican, ronald reagan *beep* The iraq war is a war crime, and this movie shows none of that.
*beep* communist not only your views are crazy, but what's important here and now on this forum YOU HAVE NO TASTE IN MOVIES CAUSE THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PICTURE NO MATHER WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN.
I'm not going to get into the politics of the movie..everybody seem to want to politicize the movie and use that to say how bad or good it is. My opinion is only from the standpoint of movie making. And my opinion is it is one of the most ovehyped movies I've seen. I'm not sure where the nod for Best Picture is coming from. They couldn't even get a baby crying scene right. That alone should have taken the movie out of contention. I thought the story could have been told better; if this guy killed so many enemies. It didn't feel that way to me. He looks like any soldier killing enemies on the battleground. The combat zones seem too fake to me. It looks like a reenactment, like the baby crying scene, they could have made it more real.
Then his transition back home and dealing with postpartum depression is where I think the movie fails miserably. Let us see how hard it was for him to adjust. All we saw was him sitting on the chair and saying nothing. I wanted to see more in this area. The pain it caused his family, struggling with daily tasks, etc. Then there is the way he died. Yes, his wife did not want audience to see that, but it takes away from the movie.
It really bothers me that Angelina Jolie "Unbroken" was not nominated for Best Pic but this one is.
Yeah, that'll be the day: a man with postpartum depression. You're obviously a pussystain wanting and Angelina Jolie movie to be nominated... As far as I'm concerned "American Sniper" should've one at least one of the Oscars for Best Picture or Best Actor. Bradley Cooper gave the performance of a lifetime, but it's not the type of performance someone will get credit for, especially given the pussyliberal world we live in were people want to politicize a movie which takes a neutral stance against the war in Iraq.
The film clearly shows that there are great costs to war and it questions whether it is worth it. One could even argue that the film is anti-war. Remember all the senseless violence and suffering endured by both Americans and Iraqis?
But, no, the liberal bitchstains want to have a cause to complain about big bad America engaging in an unjust war etc etc. Though that may be true, the film doesn't take a stance on whether or not it's a just war. Certainly, Chris Kyle thinks it's just. He's probably the only one entirely certain in the film. Everyone else has doubts here and there about the war, about Kyle returning to Iraq again and again, about the merits of his actions.
Maybe liberalbitches should just sit this one out since this film presents a reality they cannot bear to see.
Soooo, you watched a movie about black male strippers and you're overly concerned about traditional portrayals of masculinity? HHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
In fact you watch a lot movies about male strippers or porn stars. Whatever suits you, bruh.
This is pro-war, republican, ronald reagan *beep* The iraq war is a war crime, and this movie shows none of that.
Right there. It's when you got into "great depth". The movie isn't even about being pro-war, republican, ronald reagan etc. It's a movie! Talk about how the story is made, the screenplay, the acting etc. and not the history or propaganda of it all. Go back to watching Michael Bay films. This one isn't for you kid.
A ship sank at the end of the movie Titanic!
