What's the song that is played at the closing credits?
Anyone? It sounds great.
shareA gospel rendition of the disco hit "At Last I Am Free" by Chic.
shareHorrible. Totally inappropriate.
shareWell, you said what I felt albeit more stridently. It just did NOT fit the plot of the film, the ending, nor did it "jive" with what else accompanied what we saw onscreen.
This said, the tune did fit with Euro-rock's cheesiness. I think alot of rock out of Europe sounds a bit silly / too hoppy-poppy.

Yeah......cos Bon Jovi don't sound in the least bit cheesy......
sharePost modern irony dude get with it ! I like it.
shareIt's a good song it just didn't fit the film at all, I was actually laughing like "wth? lol"
lol
The following is just my opinion.
I thought the song was great, but that it was far too CORNY (even schmaltzy, if you will) for this film.
It also didn't go with the rest of the stuff on the film's soundtrack.
The ending's gravitas was significantly lessened by the playing of this tune over the end-roll creds. IMO.
What a shame too, because the ending deserved to really resonate with audiences.

The song is "At Last I'm Free" by Chic indeed, but a live version. You can find it on their "Live and Direct" album from 2012.
