DVD?
Wondering if the first season was coming to DVD anytime soon?

Shows get canceled all the time but they still release them on blu ray and dvd this is odd that there is no release yet.
shareYeah, cancelled shows can get releases, but no, it doesn't happen all the time. Some shows are viewed as not warranted/unworthy of a home release and that can be up to the network itself.
Low Winter Sun (another cancelled show from last year) was enjoyable to me & it will be getting a dvd/blu-ray release (8/12). Almost Human was another show that got cancelled after its first season and there's no info on that one yet either so who knows.
Look at Star Wars: The Clone Wars- that was a really popular show and all 5 seasons had releases and even different versions/collectors sets for a few seasons but when it was cancelled, season 6 got a release on Netflix only and there's no word on that season coming out anywhere else. Sometimes, weird stuff like that happens.

Agreed with that although most do still get a release and Clone Wars was complicated by the Disney buyout and the Netflix exclusive all 5 Seasons were on blu ray DVD and I am sure Season 6 will be eventually. I guess I will just buy off amazon they have instant video of all the episodes.

All the other shows we previously discussed have gotten home releases- even Star Wars: The Clone Wars, despite the rights being bought by Disney.
Still no word on this having a home release, but so far, not so good on that front.

Seems pretty unlikely it's getting a release as of right now. It was in that gestation plan while the show was airing, but its failure appears to have changed that.

I know that this is a late response but I have just bought this from Amazon.co.uk. It's a German copy but plays in English. It was £15, hope that helps

Eh, Disney is terrible about releasing TV shows, just look at Gargoyles. They released the first season and a half, then they dropped it, claiming "there was not enough interest" however continued making copies of the first season and a half.
