What's the chances...

lets add it up...

A guy sells them a Chewbacca mask.,..
Another guy walks in instantly and instantly recognizes it and the company who made it...
And Knows Peter Mayhew to judge an IMPROMPTU contest on Chewbacca calls...

I'd say 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO,000,000,000,000,OOO

and since there's only 7 billion people on the planet..

Do they really need to set up these totally trash WWE storylines? I mean at least Pawn Stars says "let me call an expert in" not..ohh look the expert on your exact thing just happened to walk in, isn't that amazing! and then do the BTW I happen to be best friends with Peter *beep*

This would be like you talking to your friends about Wrestling greats and who was the greatest and saying, hey Roddy Rowdy Piper is out back cleaning my pool, lets ask him!

Lol, I always laugh about how obviously setup shows like this and pawnstars is... but it's still very entertaining.

That other guy is Rob Bruce. He is a friend of theirs and has shown up since the first season when the guys don't know a lot on certain items. That's the reason they didn't do the cliche "lets call an expert thing", because they've already said that in previous eps "let's call Rob Bruce on this". I guess they expect people to already know this if you've seen this show before. You sound like this was the first time you've watched this show or you've missed the episodes Rob has been on. Rob is also at the shop a lot and has been showing up on their podcasts since way before this show started so he's not just a random guy. He also has his own store or did. This has not only been mentioned on the podcasts but on the show too. He's even sat in on the store.

As for being friends with Peter Meyhew, he actually is. The guy knows people. Probably from comic conventions and such. So that wasn't faked. I wouldn't doubt he's one of the guys that is responsible for bringing various celebs in. i wouldn't doubt that the producers of this show got Rob to contact Peter Meyhew when they found out he had Peter's number and then set up the premise of this episode.

Speaking of Piper, I was watching Storage Wars and they found a kilt in a locker so they decided to call in an expert on kilts who was none other than Rowdy Roddy Piper!

I know the guy wore a kilt in the wrestling ring, but does that qualify him as an expert? He's not Scottish, he's not a historian or a clothing expert. Is David Prowse an expert on cybernetics just because he wore the Darth Vader costume?

Well Piper will do anything for a buck. Wife swap, the haunting of..the list goes on and on.

It was really funny to watch him on The Haunting Of because the Medium who came on to "read" him and his problem literally pulled all her information right off his Wikipedia page, line for line! And he kept saying how could she know all this personal stuff about me? It was hilarious. And there was this room that he supposedly saw Adrian Adonis's ghost in and he said nobody knows about that room! How could she?

Well he also was on Celebrity wife Swap and they talk about the room, shot scenes in it, and mentioned he doesn't like to go in the room, before he appeared on Haunting of. It's just so funny anytime a medium reads a celebrity. Whose life is an open book and everybody with the slightest interest in the person could also do it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Piper on Comic Book Men..when they buy a bunch of old WWF dolls or something.

reply

Well not now, of course. He passed away recently.

reply

Well maybe the Haunting of... Comic Book Men.
