First appearance of Guy Gardner

I'm a Guy fan and I picked up that same issue for $50 on eBay a couple of years ago. I'm surprised they wanted $150 for it. Then they sit around and trash Guy and ask why anyone can like a character who's an a-hole. Didn't they just, in the same episode, sing the praises of Deadpool? Isn't he pretty much Marvel's biggest a-hole? Just thought it was funny. Guy's problem is that he's been so inconsistently written. If he was a consistent a-hole like Wade he'd probably be doing just fine.

Guy Gardner has always been my favorite Green Lantern. I suppose it's because he's always portrayed as a bit of an underdog, plus I like his costume with the green leather jacket and moon boots. But the biggest reason is probably because he's the only Green Lantern with any hint of an actual personality.

I agree, he dared to be himself instead of a cookie-cutter hero. He never wore a mask or had a secret identity either, I think I liked that. And the jacket was swell.

When he switched to the yellow ring and black leather jacket but kept the white gloves ... I was never really down with the white gloves. Just seemed unnecessary.
