Are these guys ever there when there's no filming?

I can't imagine they'd just be there all the time, right? Surely the store's day-to-day operations are run by others and they just show up to tape?

Walt and Mike work week days and share weekend shifts. Seen it with my own eyes.

Sunday is covered by Sunday Jeff who has appeared on multiple episodes.

Ming does not and never has worked at the stash. He is the tech guy for Smith.

Bry ran the store when it opened in the 90's and later ran the west coast stash. But does not now work there.

If you think the show is funny, Walt and Bry specifically,I suggest checking Tell 'em Steve Dave out on iTunes. It is the show that birthed Comic Book Men in my opinion.

Thank you for that info. I have heard of the podcast.

By the way, I believe Bry once posted here a couple years back as "beard guy". It sure seemed like he was legit but who knows.

He's said on the podcast in the past that he used to , there was an episode that he said something in the line of "I don't look at IMDB anymore"

The one time I visited the Stash just a few months I think before they started filming, I was lucky enough that Ming and Bry happened to be there as they were going to pod there at some point.

Cool to hear. I imagine those guys are pretty down to earth. At least, they seem like it on TV.

Bry was making his way to the front of the store to open some box package and made a joke about it possibly having anthrax to me and my friends as we past him.

reply

LOL....typical Bry.

They should have cameras in the store.

Live stream all day.

I think Ming works at the store part time, because we saw him open the store (sadly on the day we found out that Stash clerk Marc Costello died, the day after we saw Kevin Smith in New Brunswick :(

It was nice to meet him, as we are both natives of Michigan, and both fell in love with Jersey girls that we had long distance relationships with. I wished I could've shook his hand under better circumstances, but at the same time I was glad that I got to pay my respects to the dude.
