Since Burt cancelled the order they could've just sold the units on eBay for $5 a piece, could've at least paid off the loan.
shareTruth...just because the loan was due and there wouldn't be any extensions...doesn't mean foreclosure is an immediate process.
Once the order was cancelled, there was no longer an obligation on their part to sell exclusively thru their retail outlet.
However, assuming an unknown product with no marketing or advertising or retail presence, could even be sold on eBay for "cost", is a huge assumption.
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

How much time had lapsed? They only had a prototype then. I think by the time the order was cancelled and the loan due would have lost any of that show momentum and it would have been hard to sell so many so quickly. It's not like that show's viewers were constantly checking to see where to buy the Buddies.
